Painting brings freedom….

The marks are instinctive, they flow, and always have done….where words always got tangled…marks, line, colour appeared to be happy without thought.

An image, an emotion, a landscape connecting and percolating with ideas connecting what I feel, what I dream…..always connected to and in time

Time, its passage, its substance what it leaves behind is my fasination, my exploration, my adventure.

I use different media depending on what feels right at the time. Ink and chalk are my preference if I want quick emotive expression……but it I want to explore more the oil gives riches and depth

There is often water, and sky….often landscapes because nature amazes me. I have always felt part of this Earth, tried to show it respect it deserves.

I am no longer as young as I was, not as restless.

I have lived in this quiet spot on the Edge of Gower for longer than anywhere else, here the sea’s constant movement sits under all you hear, and stills me.
